Hey everyone! I have some big news to share that could be a game-changer for those in the transport sector eyeing a move to Canada!

What’s Happening?

On September 18, Marc Miller, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced that Canada is going to have its first special Express Entry Transport Occupations Round. This means that commercial truck drivers, pilots, and aircraft assembly workers have much higher chances that their Express Entry applications will be selected for PR during that round!

Why is this a Big Deal?

Canada’s Express Entry system is already a highly efficient pathway for skilled immigrants to enter the country. Now, with these category-based selection rounds, the system is being tailored to meet the demands of specific sectors experiencing labor shortages. And first on the list is the transport sector. This means if you have experience in this field, your chances of getting an invite just got better!

How Does it Work?

These specialized category-based selection rounds will occur throughout the year. They will run alongside general and program-specific invitation rounds, offering multiple opportunities to be invited.
