Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

A wide-angle view of a couple standing on a hillside covered in golden grass, gazing out over a vast valley. In the distance, dense evergreen forests give way to majestic, snow-capped mountains under a warm, cloudy sunset sky. A solitary rustic wooden cabin sits in the valley below. The scene is bathed in earthy tones and natural light, evoking a peaceful and optimistic mood.

Overview

Canada's Provincial Nominee Programs allow individual provinces and territories to select immigrants who meet their specific labour market and economic needs.

With streams across almost every province, PNP is one of the broadest PR pathways available — but also one of the most complex.

Requirements change frequently, eligibility varies significantly between provinces, and knowing which stream fits your profile can be the difference between a viable application and wasted time and money.

Whether you need a BC PNP consultant, Ontario PNP guidance, or help with Alberta's streams — we know which programs are active and which ones fit your profile right now.

Is it for you?

You have a job offer from a Canadian employer and want to use it to support a PR application.

You are in the Express Entry pool and want to explore provincial nominations to boost your chances.

You want to know which provinces and streams you currently qualify for based on your profile.

You are already living and working in a province and want to apply for PR through that province's nominee program.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does a provincial nomination give me PR right away?

No. A provincial nomination is a significant step toward PR but not PR itself. Once nominated, you still need to submit a full PR application to IRCC, which reviews and makes the final decision. The nomination does however add 600 CRS points to your Express Entry profile, which virtually guarantees an invitation to apply.

  • Can a province nominate me if I'm outside Canada and don't have a job offer there?

In most cases, no. The majority of PNP streams require either a connection to the province — through work experience, a job offer, or existing ties. Provinces generally select candidates who are likely to settle and contribute to their specific region, not just Canada broadly.

  • Does PNP work together with Express Entry?

Yes — and this combination is often the strongest strategy available. Many provinces have Express Entry-aligned streams where a nomination adds 600 CRS points, making selection in the next draw virtually certain. We assess whether an Express Entry-linked PNP stream makes sense for your profile as part of every consultation.

  • Every province seems to have different rules — how do I know which one applies to me?

That's exactly the challenge. Each province runs its own streams with its own eligibility criteria, and those criteria change frequently. What qualified someone six months ago may not qualify someone today. We stay current across provincial programs so you don't have to — and we identify which streams realistically fit your profile rather than sending you in the wrong direction.
